IN GEDENKEN AN MOHAMMAD SELAH
In Erinnerung und Gedenken an Mohammad Selah rufen wir zu einer Demonstration in Remscheid auf und fordern das Ende der rassistischen Ausgrenzung und unser Recht auf Leben.
Keiner von uns Flüchtlingen, die Mohammad in den letzten Tagen sahen, wurde befragt. In einer Gesellschaft, in der uns das Recht auf Leben verweigert wird, existieren wir nicht. Unser Tod wird verschwiegen. Das Recht auf Leben wird uns überall auf dieser Welt verweigert. Deshalb haben wir Zuflucht gesucht in ein Land, in dem wir glaubten, sicher leben zu können. Wir haben unsere Freunde und Verwandten verlassen und sind hierhin gekommen, um zu leben. Doch hier haben wir gelernt, dass wir weiter und ständig unsere Rechte einfordern müssen, sonst werden wir ausgelöscht. Und wir haben gelernt, dass es das selbe System ist, das unser aller Leben bedroht. Wir werden demonstrieren und Gerechtigkeit einfordern für Mohammad. Die Staatsanwaltschaft repräsentiert nicht die Wahrheit noch die Gerechtigkeit. Sie schickt ihre Polizisten zu uns, die uns mit Waffen bedrohen und spricht Schreibtischtäter frei, die Mohammads Leben zu verantworten haben.

IN REMEMBRANCE OF MOHAMMAD SELAH
In memory of Mohammad Selah we call for a demonstration in Remscheid and demand the end the end of the racist exclusion and we defend our right to live.
On January 14, 2007 Mohammad Selah, 23 years old, died in an hospital in Essen, Germany. He was a refugee from Guinea and lived in a refugee camp in Remscheid. He had to die, because an employee of the “Sozialamt” (social welfare office) refused to give him the health insurance certificate he needed for the doctor. The employee told him: “You are going to be deported anyhow.” A few days after the paper was not given to Mohammad, the pain got unbearable and refugees from the camp brought him to the Sana-Klinikum in Remscheid. On the 14th he died in Essen. The state persecutor in Wuppertal terminated his investigation in December 2007, because they found no indication for the refusal of the health insurance certificate.
We call everyone to remember Mohammad Selah on the first death anniversary. We want to break the silence and demand justice. We demand from the city of Remscheid to investigate the practice how health insurance certificates are given. We doo not want food coupons but normal payment of our rights. We can not accept anymore the harassments of the employees of the Sozialamt. We demand the right to stay and to work and the right for a self-determined place to live.
No one of us, who saw Mohammad in his last days has been interviewed. In a society that denies our right to live, we do not exist. Our death is kept secret. In this world, the right to live is denied to us everywhere. We came here, because we thought, we could live here in safety. We have left our families and friends behind and came here to live. Here we learnt, that we have to struggle permanently for our rights otherwise we are exterminated. We have learnt that it is the same system that threatens our life. The state prosecution authority do not represents the truth nor the justice. It sends the police, that threatens us with weapons (german report on police raid here )and it releases state employees that are responsible for the death of Mohammad Selah.

À la mémoire de Mohammad Selah, nous vous appelons à une manifestation à Remscheid pour exiger la fin de l’expulsion raciste et pour réclamer notre droit à la vie. Le 14 janvier 2007, Mohammad Selah qui avait 23 ans est mort dans un hôpital à Essen. Mohammad Selah était un réfugié de la Guinée et vivait dans un foyer de réfugiés à Remscheid. Il a dû mourir parce qu’un fonctionnaire du bureau de l’aide sociale de Remscheid avait refusé de lui donner une attestation qui lui permetterait d’aller au médecin (Krankenschein), sous prétexte qu’on allait le renvoyer de toute façon. Quelques jours plus tard, le 11 Janier, quand ses douleurs sont devenues insupportables, des habitants du foyer l’ont amené au Sana-Klinikum. Il est mort le 14 janvier dans un hôpital à Essen. Le ministère public a conclu les enquêtes en décembre 2007, par manque d’indices prouvant qu’on lui a refusé une attestation.
Nous vous appelons à commémorer Mohammad avec nous le 14 janvier. Ainsi nous voulons briser le silence et exiger la justice. Nous prions la ville de Wuppertal d’enquêter les circonstances de l’attribution de l’attestation. Nous demandons la terminaison du système des bons (« Gutscheine ») qui ne font qu’augmenter la marginalisation et de tous les autres tracasseries du bureau de l’aide sociale. Nous revendiquons le droit à la résidence et au travail et le droit à un domicile déterminé par l’individu meme.
On n’a interrogé aucun de nous réfugiés qui ont vu Mohammad pendant ses derniers jours. Dans une société, dans laquelle on nous refuse le droit à la vie, nous n’éxistons pas. Nos morts passent sous silence. On nous refuse le droit à la vie dans le monde entier. C’est pourquoi nous nous sommes réfugiés dans un pays ou nous croyions pouvoir vivre en sécurité. Nous avons quitté nos amis et nos parents et nous sommes venus ici pour vivre. Mais ici nous avons appris que nous devons encore et continuellement revendiquer nos droits autrement nous serons anéantis. Et nous avons appris que c’est le même système qui menace la vie de nous tous. Nous manifesterons et demanderons la justice pour Mohammad. Le ministère public ne représente ni la réalité et ni la justice. Il nous envoie ses agents de police qui nous menacent avec leurs armes (lire ici ) et déclare non coupables les criminels de la bureaucratie qui sont responsables de la mort de Mohammad.

Mohammad’? son günlerinde gören biz mültecilere hiçkimse bir?ey sormad?.Ya?ama hakk?m?z?n elimizden al?nd??? bir toplumda zaten varoldu?umuz söylenemez. Ölümümüz bile konu?ulmuyor. Ya?ama hakk?m?z dünyan?n her taraf?nda elimizden al?n?yor. Ondan dolay? güvenli bir ya?am sürebilece?imize inand???m?z bir ülkede s???nak arad?k.
