18.09.2006 Gundem newspaper– While the government and the police were
denouncing the involvement of the Turkish Revenge Brigades’ (TIT) in the

The notorious Turkish ultra-nationalist terrorist group ‘Turkish Revenge
Brigade’ (Turkish: “Turk Intikam Tugayi”, “TIT”) claimed on their homepage
responsibility for the bomb attack outside a family park in the Baglar
district of Amed (Diyarbakir) in northern Kurdistan (southeastern Turkey).
The blast killed seven Kurdish children and three adults. Another 13 people
were wounded, of them two seriously.

Europe's top human rights watchdog on Wednesday urged Turkey to halt all
mistreatment of prisoners, saying that the conditions in Turkish detention
centres were not 'reassuring.'
