Demonstration in Forst Lausitz against Racism

On the 3rd of August there will be a demonstration in Forst, in the territorial jurisdiction of Spree - Neiße against the poor living conditions of asylum seekers and the racist treatment they do undergo from the aliens and social welfare offices. These racist treatment and continues human rights abuses made one of the asylum seekers to commit suicide in his room number 37, on the 13th of April 2006. A death that passed unrecognised because he was an asylum seeker. Before he committed suicide, he always echoed to other colleagues that;

“I do not have anything in my life-no family, no money, always limited in a jurisdiction of about 35 km square, no freedom, no life but only debts. I have to always pay a lawyer. What is the importance of this life.”

To obtain a permission to leave the jurisdiction is always being made complicated by the aliens office. Confiscating the minimal chance of our already destroyed rights from meeting other obligations and colleagues. No freedom of movement!!
If an asylum seeker satisfies the conditions to obtain a work permit, the person is asked to bring a passport so that the permission could be put inside. An issue that is well known, could be done in the persons identity card. If an asylum seeker is sick and goes to the hospital, some of the medical doctors tell the patients that the persons are not ill but suffering from nostalgia. To make things worse, these medical doctors propose to assist the asylum seekers to obtain a means to go back to their countries of origin. A country that was abandoned because ones life is in danger. At times, these doctors supply them with expired drugs.
Asylum seekers are completely excluded from the people and are always being threatened with deportation.

The government of this jurisdiction is cooperating with some illegal delegations in Cologne to deport asylum seekers through illegitimate interviews for identification. These illegal delegations consist of authorities from the countries of origins of asylum seekers. The very governments persecuting these asylum seekers. A human being cannot be identified to come from a particular country by looking at the face, hearing the accent. We find this unjust. These commissions are illegal and do not satisfy the clauses of the Geneva Convention.

To add to these general sufferings, the blacks do suffer from anti black racism. In cases where a black asylum seeker and a German put to birth a child, the aliens office does not want to give a permission of stay to the person. How can such a person participate to the development of his or her child without working to raise money? There is a case getting close to two years. The aliens office is always using unfounded reasons to prohibit the person in courts from obtaining the stay. The asylum seeker has challenged the aliens office several times in courts but the case is still pending. This example is just one from many. Other official ways in which asylum seekers could get a stay are always being made difficult for black asylum seekers. The government of Spree – Neiße is not yet ready to integrate blacks in the German society. An issue we are completely against.

The Flüchtlingsinitiative Brandenburg is calling for the authorities in Spree – Neiße to respect the human rights of asylum seekers and to eliminate all forms of racism against other nationalities living in their jurisdiction. We demand an end to anti black racism in this jurisdiction. Stop collaborating with the illegal method of interviews for deportation.
