The VOICE Refugee Forum wird gemeinsam mit der Karawane für die Rechte der Flüchtlinge und Migranten das ”Break Isolation – Refugee Summer Camp”, ein Sommercamp gegen Ausgrenzung veranstalten. Es findet vom 23. August bis zum 2. September 2012, in Solidarität gegen Koloniales Unrech in Erfurt statt.
Eineinhalb Jahre nach dem Höhepunkt der von The VOICE Refugee Forum initiierten Break Isolation-Aktionen in Zella-Mehlis und Meiningen haben die kämpfenden Flüchtlinge ihr Ziel durchgesetzt: Das Lager wird geschlossen und alle Flüchtlinge bekommen Wohnungen!

After the successful intervention in Erfurt against the deportation of Habibi to Hungary one week ago, this week signifies another success for the struggle of the refugees, as the Lager in Zella-Mehlis will be closed and all refugees get flats!
Der afghanische Flüchtlingsaktivist Habibi wurde im direkten Anschluss an das Karawane Treffen in Erfurt am Hauptbahnhof in Folge einer nach rassistischen Kritierien erfolgten Polizeikontrolle verhaftet. Er sollte nach Ungarn abgeschoben werden.
The Afghan refugee activist Habibi was arested right after the caravan meeting in Erfurt due to a racist police control at the main station. He was put into deportation custody ant threatened with deportation to Hungary.
He was released from the Erfurt Police detention cell at about 8:30 this morning to go the Eisenberg BAMF in Thueringen to reapply for new asylum.
The activists of The VOICE Refugee Forum got in contact with Banga during our visit to the Gerstungen/Thuringen Isolation camp in 2010. He narrated the story about how he became blind through Police brutality and the denial of proper medical attention from the racist authourities and negligence on the part of the Doctor.
