If you are a non-white man or a woman living in Germany, you have probably - at least once during your stay here - been asked by the police to show your personal documents without any obvious reasons behind that behavior. This act could take place anywhere in Germany, especially in the trains, train-stations and public spaces.

Während Deutschland mit viel Medienrummel die Staatstrauer für 150 bei einem Flugzeugunglück gestorbene Menschen begeht, bleibt es weitestgehend ignoriert, dass letzte Woche bei zwei Schiffsunglücken über 1000 Menschen auf der Flucht nach Europa ertrunken sind.

We, the Union of Kurdish students in Syria and Germany (UKSSD), condemn the cowardly assault on our friend and comrade. In the eastern part of Leipzig (Reudnitz), a Syrian-Kurdish student was shot with an unknown weapon between 10:30 and 11 pm.
