Imam-Jonas Dögüs from Rostock started a hungerstrike in front of the „Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge“ in Nürnberg/Bavaria.
After only two days of hungerstrike his asylum-case has been decided. However, the decision was unfortunately negativ.

Please find below the speech of Estrella del Pais of Migrante Europe held on May 25, 2007 at the conference "In Solidarity against deportation, exclusion and exploitation" during the stop of the CARAVAN-Tour 2007 in Düsseldorf (see report of that day here).
At the 29th of May Spanish police forces at an Interpol order captured the Turkish refugee Binali Yildrim on the island Mallorca. Binali Yildrim was on a vacation with his soccer team. The 34 years old Yildrim, who currently legally lives in Hamburg Germany, is still wanted by the Turkish authorities. Binali Yildrim was held in Turkish isolation prison in Edirne under heavy torture.
Regna Kiwanuka is a dedicated human rights activist in exile and a political refugee in Germany. She has written many important articles about the struggles of refugees and migrants of the Black African community. In addition, the human rights activist from Uganda is a member of the international delegation to observe the court proceedings
in the case of the murder of Oury Jalloh.
