Report on the demonstration in Weiden on September 28, 2012 after the suicide trial of two asylum seekers

Around 35 to 40 people gathered for the demonstration after two young refugees had tried to kill themselves. It started at 10 am and lasted until 12:20.

Between August 23rd and September 2nd2012, refugee activists and other activists of anti-racist groups followed the call of THE VOICE Refugee Forum and the Caravan for the Rights of Refugees and migrants: they came to the BREAK ISOLATION refugee summer gathering 2012 in Erfurt, Thuringia, Germany.

My personal reflection on the BREAK ISOLATION - Refugee Summer Camp 2012 in Erfurt

Me, Moema Petri Romao, who's just become 18 years old, was there this year. Four days, from 23th till 27th of August I have participated in workshops and discussions there. So I see, I had learned a lot about colonial injustice and imperialist oppression. But I did not learn it, by listening to an abstract lecture, but in the direct communication with humans, through the voices of refugees and refugee activists, who told their experiences made in the imperialistic system in the sessions.

Der Protestmarsch der hier in Deutschland mit Lagersystem, Residenzpflicht, Gutscheinsystem, Abschiebebedrohung und Behördenwillkür schikanierten Flüchtlinge erreicht heute eine wichtige Grenzlinie - die zwischen den sog. “Freistaaten” Bayern und Thüringen.
