BREAK THE SILENCE

download: Aufruf deutsch, appel francais, cagri türkce, call english

To all who do not want that their children, brothers and sister and friends are checked by the police, tormented, kicked and humiliated, because they have black hair or skin.
To all those, who do not accept, that brothers and sisters fear to be abused or killed in police custody.
To all those, who do not tolerate that our brothers and sisters are humiliated and abused or have to die in deportation prisons or during the deportation itself.
To all those, who do not accept, that our sisters and brothers and friends have to die under occupation, during military operations or by bombs and bullets.
To all those, who do not accept, that people have to die due to hunger or poverty.
To all those, who do not accept, that our children, our brothers and sisters, our parents are driven into poverty and misery by the Hartz IV-attacks.
To all those, who do not accept, that the basic rights of freedom of movement, freedom of political activity or free choice of the place of residence are restricted by special laws.
To all those, who are looking for other people, who break the silence about the injustice.
To all those, who do not accept, that our children are hunted on the streets by neonazis or the police.

come to to Dortmund on April 12, 2008

In the dock is the government. The prosecutors are the family, friends, sisters and brothers of the victims of racist police brutality.
In the dock is the aggressive external policy of the government. The prosecutors are the victims of war and destruction.
In the dock is the Hartz-IV policy of the government. Prosecutors are the people facing exploitation and oppression.

Our aim: a society without racism, exploitation, war and oppression.
Our weapon: respect and unlimited solidarity

TRIBUNAL IN MEMORY OF DOMINIQUE KOUMADIO
and OURY JALLOH and all other VICTIMS FO STATE BRTUTALITY
AT 1 PM TRIBUNAL – AT 6 PM DEMONSTRATION
Katharinenstrasse, in front of Hauptbahnhof Dortmund

Dominique Koumadio, a young man pulls out a knife while talking to a shop owner known to him. The police is called. When they arrive there is no immediate danger noticeable. Following the reports of eye witnesses the policemen get out of the car with their guns pulled out. The policemen request him to drop the knife. Dominique does not follow this. There is a distance of several meters between him and the policemen. One officer shoots twice. One bullet hits Dominique in the leg, the other one hits his heart. Dominique dies. The state prosecutor classifies the action of the police as self-defence and closes the file.

Dominique Koumadio is one of many victims that died by police operations. Halim Dener, John Achidi, Oury Jalloh, Maryama Sar, Layé Kondé and Dimitri Nikolov and many more died of bullets fired by the police or due to police assaults.
All assaults and the continuation of committing crimes by state institutions are only possible in a society and in a world in which one part of the people is allowed to live and the other is not. In a society in which colonial structures are perpetuated, in which peoples relations are defined by exploitation and competition.
