"Lampedusa in Hamburg" racial profiling in St.Pauli and upcoming protest on wednesday at the town hall

Attention! Racist police checks in St. Pauli yesterday evening, Thursday, April the 3rd, three different checks by uniformed and civilian police officers were reported to us. The people were arrested. So far we have no news about the fact that they were released yet. Already on Wednesday, two members of the group "Lampedusa in Hamburg" had been checked and arrested. A registration requirement was made with the immigration authorities. After a few hours they were released.

The selforganized joint winter emergency program “Winternotprogramm” of Hamburg residential projects, residential and housing communities for "Lampedusa in Hamburg" runs until the end of April, then everyone is back on the streets. This increases the pressure on individual members of the group. Three years after the NATO war HYPERLINK "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lchbsDiDgEw" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lchbsDiDgEw - the second year on after living on the streets, leaving families continuously without support. The Senate for the interior is aware of this and chooses this very moment to start again with the racist control of persons and to hunt members of "Lampedusa in Hamburg" and others by the Dublin system criminalizing them. The slogan “refugees welcome" is mocked by the Hamburg Senate.

Public Declaration by Lampedusa in Hamburg concerning the 19th of March 2014 – Anniversary of “modern” war

For nearly one year we have been fighting in Hamburg for the right to live a decent life after our flight from the NATO-war in Libya. We have been refused any opportunity to work and to support ourselves and our families. We look back on years in limbo, between hope for a new life and the cold reality of European legislation against refugees and migrants, which criminalises us, calls us a problem and refuses our right to exist.

Lampedusa in Hamburg – Witnesses of NATO war in Lybia

One year Lampedusa in Hamburg – No Peace for the Senate of Hamburg!

Demonstration der Gruppe "Lampedusa in Hamburg" am 01. März 2014

On 1st of March 2014, refugees from NATO war in Lybia at Hamburg, have a demonstration to open a new perspective of their political struggle for their right to stay in Hamburg. After one year of protest their demands are still ignored by the Senate of Hamburg. Poiliticans and mass media strongly try to avoid to get in the topic of western wars as the cause for receiving refugees in their countries.

The group Lampedusa in Hamburg, witnesses of NATO war in Lybia, wants to open new way into truth and show the role of Germany in exporting wars and militarization to other countries, in reality. Lampedusa in Hamburg, denied to enter the trap of German’s Asyl system, knowing very well about the treatment of refugees with special laws, the isolation in the Lagers, the restriction of movement by the so called Residenzpflicht, and the daily terror by the deportation machine.
